My Why, My Family
The Awakening, where I started writing new agreements
💔 This part of my business was born in grief. Not metaphorical grief. Not seasonal sadness. Real grief. A death that did not just take someone I loved, but took parts of me with it. The kind of loss that fractures your inner world. The kind that rearranges your identity.
The kind that quietly kills who you used to be, while the world still expects you to perform as if nothing happened. And at the same time, life asked something else of me. I became a first-time mother at 42. After years of healing my heart & womb. After years of waiting. After years of believing my body might never give me that experience.
I loved her instantly, and then 11 months later, I grieved in a way I didn’t even know existed.
Suddenly, I was grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss of self, and then… watching my daughter receive the care, softness, protection, and attunement I never had cracked something open inside me.
🧠 I felt joy. I felt jealousy. I felt guilty for feeling jealous. I felt shame for the things I didn’t know I needed to unlearn. I felt rage at what was taken from me. I felt grief for the little girl inside me who never got what I was now giving freely. And I did not have language for any of it.
⚠️ I went into survival mode. Not the dramatic kind. The quiet kind. Where you keep going. Where you do what needs to be done. Where you function. But autopilot kicks in, and thriving disappears.
